How to use this tool:

  1. Select Cable Size (mm²): Choose the size of the cable you plan to use. The tool automatically applies the correct resistance value for that specific cable cross-section.
  2. Select Supply Voltage: Most UK home projects use 230V, but we’ve included 110V (for site power tools) and 400V (for three-phase machinery) options to make this a truly universal workshop tool.
  3. Enter Current (Amps): Input the maximum load (in Amps) the circuit will carry.
  4. Enter Length (Meters): Enter the total one-way route length of the cable run.

Once you click Calculate, you will receive an instant summary showing the estimated voltage drop in Volts and as a percentage of your total supply.
